We have been learning about birds. We discovered that birds can get hungry in the winter and we wondered why.

What can we do to help the hungry birds?
Our ideas
We talked about our ideas and decided we needed to create a way to feed the birds in the trees to protect them from predators.
We decided to create bird feeders.
Next, we looked at lots of different Youtube clips about birdfeeders and wrote down the things that were the same about the birdfeeders.
We decided that our birdfeeders needed to:- be able to hang
- be weatherproof
- have a dry place to put the food
- have somewhere for the birds to stand
- be made out of recyclable materials
We created some initial birdfeeder designs and then we collected some recyclable containers and created a final design.
